The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Famer Chuck Berry collapsed over his keyboards about an hour into his “Winter Dance” show last night (January 1st.)
Berry was on stagein Chicago at The House of Blues, after performing two back-to-back shows in New York for New Year’s Eve.
Berry, 84, dropped his head on a keyboard and laid still for a few minutes until three people helped him off stage around 10:30pm.
The durable singer returned to the stage and attempted to play, but couldn’t muster the strength.
Berry then did his famous “duck walk” off the stage, where he refused any further medical treatment.
