December 1963 Ad For Clyde McPhatter’s Album Deep In The Heart of Harlem.
Clyde was an original member of The Dominos and The Drifters, singing lead for both groups, before going solo and experiencing success with the great R&B tune, “A Lover’s Question.”
He was a serious advocate of Civil Rights and helped organized musicians’ boycotts in the 1950’s, which helped lead to support to MLK’s movement in the 1960’s.
