The legendary Temptations provided the entertainment for millions of football fans today (November 22, 1973).
The Temptations performed two hymns during halftime between the Detroit Lions/Washington Redskins game.
The Temps dropped their psychedelic soul to sing “We Gather Together” and “Come Ye Thankful People.”
The game took place at Tiger Stadium and aired on CBS early in the afternoon.
Unfortunately for the Detroit-bred group and their fans, even The Temptations couldn’t inspire the group.
The Detroit Lions eventually fell to the Washington Redskins, 20-0.
