B-Ball Star Earl The Pearl Monroe Announces Music Production Company

Basketball legend Earl “The Pearl” Monroe announced the formation of Earl Monroe Productions today (November 24, 1973).

Earl The Pearl’s new company was created to focus on artist management, music publishing, public relations and music production.

The company was situated in New York, where Earl The Pearl was carving out a legendary basketball career as a member of The New York Knickerbockers.

The first acts signed to Earl Monroe Productions were songtress Juliette, The Personal Touch, a female singing group and The Ghetto Fighters, a four-man group that featured the Arthur and Albert Allen (The Aleem Brothers), who introduced singer Jimi Hendrix to Harlem.
