1. Andre Williams real name is Zephire Andre Williams. He is an R&B artist who launched his career on legendary Detroit label Fortune records.
2. Andre Williams recorded the humorous, legendary song “Jailbait,” which he spoke, instead of singing.
3. Andre Williams experienced success as a songwriter, co-writing Stevie Wonder’s song “Thank You for Loving Me,” as well as “Shake a Tail Feather,” which was a smash for Ike and Tina Turner.
4. In the 1960’s, Andre Williams acted as a road manager for Edwin Starr.
5. In the 1980s, Andre Williams was homeless due to a drug addiction, and was forced to beg for money on the streets of Chicago. Williams made a comeback in 1990, and released a new album every year until 2012, when he released two albums back-to-back: Hood and Shades and Life.
