Bobby Robinson, a legend in the history of our music, passed away January 7, 2011, at the age of 93.
Bobby Robinson owned record labels like Red Robin, Whirlin’ Disc, Fire, Fury and Enjoy.
Bobby started the record shop, Bobby’s Happy House, on 125th Street in Harlem in 1946.
Through his many record labels he discovered and produced groups like the Vocaleers, Velvets, Mellomoods, Scarlets, Channels, Continentals, Teenchords, Kodaks, and dozens of others.
