SLY STONE’S MANSION RAIDED; DRUGS, PILLS, GUNS SEIZED

Musician Sly Stone was arrested today (February 2, 1973), after police raided his Bel Air, California mansion and recovered drugs and guns.

Police vice agents raided his mansion, and found cocaine, heroin, marijuana, PCP and about 600 doses of Placydil.

In addition to the drugs, the officers found an arsenal of weapons inside of Sly Stone’s Bel Air home.

Sly had amassed 20 pistols, three rifles and one shotgun.

Sly, who was 29-years-old at the time of the incident, was freed after posting $5,000 bond.

After the drug arrests, Sly Stone canceled a tour of the East Coast and hit the studio to record for his new album Fresh.
