R&B legend James Brown and his Review left for Tokyo today (June 5th) 1968, to entertain an American troops in Japan.
James Brown reportedly turned down over $100,000 in bookings just to make this the tour for the US veterans serving in Tokyo, Okinawa, Korea and Vietnam.
Brown, who took a 16-day tour of the Asian countries, had recently returned from a concert on the Ivory Coast in West Africa, as well as a tour of France Germany and Switzerland.
